1. Phillips Exeter Academy    Exeter ranks # 1 on our list for consistently having the Ivies and MIT in their top 10 college matriculation for the past three years. They also have the highest SAT average score from their graduating class at the 2100s while maintaining a low acceptance rate at 12% and a high SSAT average at 94th percentile.
2. Phillips Academy Andover Tied with Exeter for having the highest SSAT average at 94th percentile, Andover has the second largest alumni endowment on our list and offers their students a variety of advanced placement classes, such as Environmental Science, Music Theory and Government. The majority of Andover’s college matriculation also consists of the Ivies, Stanford and Georgetown.
3. Lawrenceville School Lawrenceville continues to impress with their high average SAT score at the 2090′s, and also having 5 of the Ivies and Stanford in their top 10 college matriculation rate for the past three years. Like Exeter, Lawrenceville is known for their Harkness approach to teaching and continues to prove that their academic curriculum is a force to be reckoned with.
4. Groton School Groton ranks on our list as having one of the highest SSAT average scores for their incoming class at 90th percentile and one of the highest SAT average scores for their graduating class in the 2080′s. Although smaller than the first three boarding schools, Groton has one of the largest alumni endowment, allowing the school to provide some of the best resources for their students.
5. Middlesex School Known for their rigorous academic program, it is no surprise that Middlesex has one of the highest SAT averages at the 2090s. Middlesex also has Harvard, Columbia and Dartmouth as part of their top 10 college matriculation for the past three years.
6. St. Paul’s School St. Paul’s continues their tradition of academic excellence by having some of the Ivies such as Harvard, Columbia, Yale and Princeton consistently in their top 10 college matriculation. St. Paul’s also has an average SSAT score at 89th percentile and a low acceptance rate at 15%.
7. Milton Academy Founded in 1798, this school is smaller in comparison to the other schools on our list. However, Milton Academy proves that size does not matter. Milton Academy has one of the highest SSAT average at 90th percentile, a high SAT average at the 2060s and has had Harvard, Cornell and Brown in their top 10 college matriculation for the past three years.
8. The Hotchkiss School Hotchkiss continues to impress with the diversity of their campus, their high average SSAT score at 87th percentile and having Yale, Princeton, Middlebury and Johns Hopkins as part of their top ten college matriculation.
9. Choate Rosemary Hall One of the larger student bodies amongst top boarding schools, Choate required an 85th percentile SSAT score, and have Yale, Columbia and Georgetown in their top 10 college matriculation.
10. Deerfield Academy One of the oldest boarding schools in the nation, Deerfield Academy has one of the lowest acceptance rates at 12% along with one of the highest SSAT average at 87th percentile. Harvard, Yale and Georgetown also consistently place in their top 10 college matriculation.
11. Concord Academy Concord Academy has an average SSAT score in the 84th percentile for their incoming students and a high average SAT score in the 2050s for their graduating students. Brown, Columbia, MIT and Yale are also some of the colleges in their top 10 college matriculation.
12. The Thacher School The first of two top boarding schools on the West Coast, Thacher admitted 12% of its applicants. Thacher has Stanford, Harvard and Yale consistently in their top 10 college matriculation.
13. Cate School The second of the two top boarding schools on the West Coast, Cate had an acceptance rate of 12% with an average SSAT score in the 83rd percentile. Cate also have Brown, Stanford and Columbia as part of their top college matriculation.
14. The Taft School With a student body of 576, Taft offers their students a variety of Advanced Placement classes in Computer Science, Chinese Language and Music Theory. Columbia, Cornell and Georgetown are among the majority of their college matriculation.
15. Kent School Located in Kent, Connecticut, Kent is known for its rigorous academic curriculum. It consistently has Cornell, Brown and Johns Hopkins among their top college matriculation.
